The game is friendly to newcomers??? After the first encounter after the plane crash, I crawled out of the cave. Have not at all learned the controls or how to do anything yet but I get swarmed and killed before even getting to cut down a tree. Seriously.....not five minutes after entering the game for the first time on easy mode I get swarmed. I had no problems first time I entered the world of Subnautica and few problems as a new player in ARK. This game however....not fun for me.

Only just playing this now. My first crpg was BG3, then DOS2. I loved DOS2 more than BG3. Now starting DOS1. Great guide, really entertaining. Thanks.

4:38 After playing for nearly 4 hours, creating and trying all the starting classes, I can say with confidence that the Pauper is kinda goated, specifically for the sole reason that it starts with a spear-type weapon. That extra range makes a ton of difference in the early game while you are learning the basics (it's also the only class I killed the starting ship boss with, ~achievement unlocked~)

lol this video is what let me know the books come before the games. I unfortunately watched a game movie of Witcher 1 before this. I thought they were basically the story that happens in the books, but able to be played out in a game. I watched the series and watched a bunch of recap videos on the books so now I feel I’m ready to play this. I wish there was a little strategy guide that could guide me things I don’t want to miss but not spoil the game too much lol. Thanks for the video bud.

I remembering trying DS when it first came out when I was used to Oblivion, Assassin’s Creed, Zelda, etc. open world adventure games and I had a low bar for being scared. I lasted maybe 5 or 6 deaths before giving up. Recently I’ve been watching my neighbor play and it made me nostalgic for Oblivion again so I asked to make an account. I’ve finally gotten over the “what’s the point of the game?” mentality and just enjoy exploring and learning.

Pro tip take Boris out then grab eveything u find and dump it in the middle of the house or wherever for easy access keep doing that till it’s empty than you can come back next days

Why the hell did you make a guide that takes 3 minutes to start, is 28 minutes long, has no non-obvious knowledge, and regularly repeats itself in different sections of the video? Might as well tell the viewer to grow a couple of braincells.

I actually heard of this game from RUclipsr ProJared and his “worst games of 2013” list. There was a different vampire game called Dark. To quote what I remember from the list: “You know what’s cool? Vampire The Masquerade. What isn’t cool is this. Dark. Which tries WAAAAY too hard to be like Vampire the Masquerade.” Ever since then I wanted to play it.

This is the first time using keyboard and mouse. It's driving me crazy 🤪. At the beginning just getting hit. Try watch other videos. It looks easy . Then I try it and nothing.

Even when I was a new player, I only started with Depraved. Best starting stat colletion so you can be flexible cause I find myself changing my build style often.

One time i got a really lucky spawn where my plane crashed near a cannibal camp, that has the hut with the red paint in it so i basically never had to worry about the cannibals because the paint respawned

I'd say that Wigfrid is also very beginner friendly because of her weapons and armor! It might be a learning curve at first to get used to only eating meat, but her tankiness offsets that imo! She can eat so much damage as long as she doesn't get swarmed
